Our mission is to actively work with County departments in the hiring and retaining of a skilled and responsive workforce through the recruitment and selection of well-qualified candidates for job openings; to recommend and implement employee relations and Human Resources policies that support a productive, team-oriented work environment; to establish and promote employee training, development, and appreciation programs in recognition of value vested in the County's workforce; to coordinate and provide guidance to the County departments in implementing procedures to comply with applicable state/federal employment- related laws; and to participate in the County's strategic and long-range planning process with a focus on the design/deployment of the workforce necessary to successfully implement such plans.
