My dog is at the Livingston County Animal Control and Shelter, how do I get it back?,

If your dog is here, it was either picked up by an officer or brought in by someone in the community. In order to retrieve your dog you must pay all applicable fines and fees AND you must have a current rabies vaccine and a current dog license.

Impound Fee:
First time your dog is in $25
Second time is $50
Third time is $100

If an Animal Control Officer had to go out and pick up your dog, there will be an additional $35 Officer Dispatch Pick Up fee.

Each night your dog is here there is a $20 per night boarding fee in addition to the impound fee.

If you did not have a dog license you may also be charged a $15 late fee on top of your license fee.  License fee is $7 if the dog is fixed, $25 if not fixed.  A rabies vaccine is $15.

One weekend in here can cost you close to $100, so please keep your dog licensed and at home!
