Does my dog need a license?,

The State of Michigan requires that ALL dogs over 4 months of age have proof of a current rabies vaccine AND a Michigan dog license. This is a State law, and violating this law may result in a misdemeanor ticket. Please visit our Dog License page for more information on the cost of a dog license and how to obtain one.

Where can I buy a dog license?,

State of Michigan dog licenses can be purchased at the Treasurer’s Office. The Treasurer’s Office is located in the old court house in downtown Howell at 200 E. Grand River Avenue. Dog licenses can also be purchased at your local municipality and Livingston County Animal Control and Shelter.
