Welcome to the Livingston County Animal Shelter!  We provide rescue and humane care to protect the health, safety and welfare of animals and people in Livingston County and enforce state laws that pertain to domestic animals.  We currently rescue and assure safe, temporary shelter, veterinary care for approximately 2,200 stray, unwanted, abandoned, neglected and injured animals each year.  We’re your community shelter and we’d love to have you visit us or join us as a volunteer!  Please take a look at our adoptable pets from the below links.  Once a pet is adopted, it automatically disappears from our web site.  If you are unsure, please call.

Lost and Found

Stray Section: Strays are pets that the public or an officer have picked up from within Livingston County and brought into the shelter. All strays will be held for a minimum of 4 days with no identification and 7 days with identification.

Lost and Found Section: The public can post pets they have lost or found. Lost pets appear at the top of the page, Found pets are at the bottom. Please call the shelter with updates so your post can be updated or deleted.
