Welcome to Livingston County Community Corrections!
We are the result of a collaborative effort by local law enforcement, judiciary, government and concerned citizens who have joined together to make the best use of jail and prison space by providing rehabilitative programs for offenders both within and outside the community. Many of us are close to someone, may it be a family member, neighbor, or co-worker, who has been arrested and put in jail. That family member, friend or co-worker will go though the judicial process and eventually return to your family, community, or work space. The goal of Community Corrections is to assist that family member, neighbor or co-worker though the judicial process and offer them alternatives to jail; be it placement into cognitive groups or providing funding for substance abuse treatment that will reduce the likelihood of them reoffending and allow them to continue lives in the community as productive and contributing members of society.
