This service is free for residents of Livingston County. 

An appointment is required and space is limited.

To be able to accommodate as many households as possible, please limit your sign up to 1 event .

If signup is full please check back every couple of days in case an appointment opens up

Sign Ups Open No More than 6 Weeks before Event

May 6, 2023 - Event is Complete
August 12, 2023 - Registration opens no later than July 1, 2023
September 30, 2023 - Registration opens no later than August 17, 2023

In the event you are not able to create an appointment online, please call us at 517-545-9609 and we can email you a new link or sign up for you if you do not have access.

HHW Collection Event Location will be emailed with sign up confirmations.

*Please do not bring items to collection locations except on appointed days and at your scheduled time. All household hazardous waste is removed by a vendor on the collection days.  We do not have space to store items.


This valuable public program is supported by the Livingston County Board of Commissioners and the Livingston County Drain Commissioner's office and staff.  With additional support and cooperation from the townships, we are able to offer battery collection sites, notification of events, and participation from staff and volunteers.
