Please Note: 36" silt fence is required on all construction sites unless the inspector waives the requirement or approves an alternate.
Use of any alternative SESC measure requires inspector approval.

PLEASE NOTE: In some cases, Stormwater Drainage Review may be required either by our Office or the Township's engineer before the Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Permit Application can be accepted.


Residential Projects

All residential plans must be reviewed for Soil Erosion and Sediment Controls by the Inspector prior to permit issuance.

Requirement: For all residential projects, a Land Use Permit from the township/village is required (where issued) and also a site plan. Fee payment is expected at the time of application. Fees are subject to change without notice. All permit / waiver fees are not refundable. In most cases, an inspection of soil erosion controls (silt fence or tracking mat) will be required before the permit is issued.

Residential Permit Application and Forms

Major Project Permit
  • Single family size residential permits
  • For construction sites greater than 600 square feet of earth disruption

  • Single family size residential permits
  • For construction sites less than 600 square feet of earth disruption

Waiver Of Necessity
  • For residential sites not within 500 feet of water
  • No form needed. Requires Land Use Permit and site plan. Waivers are issued at the time of application.

Re-Inspection Fees for both permits and waivers due to non-compliance will be $105 for each occurrence.
