Statewide Tornado Drill

Tentatively: Wednesday, March 22, 2023 @ 1:00 PM
Bad weather will cause the cancellation of the  emergency alert through RAVE / IPAWS and the test of the county outdoor warning sirens. However, please take the opportunity to discuss emergency plans with your family and co-workers.   

 LivCo Alerts - New Emergency Alert System

LivCo Alerts is now available to all residents. Rave Mobile Safety is a free service that allows individuals to sign up for notifications sent from state and local authorities. LivCo Alerts keeps residents and travelers informed on potentially hazardous situations involving weather, traffic, and other emergencies.

 Siren Testing

The 2023 Statewide Tornado Drill will take place on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 1:00 PM

The sirens will be set off at that time and the Livingston County Emergency Alert System will be tested. County landline telephones and notification alert subscribers will receive the Tornado Drill alert via telephone call. This is only a drill. If the weather on date of the drill is inclement, the drill will be cancelled. Regular Siren Testing:
Livingston County 911 Central Dispatch will be testing the tornado sirens the First Saturday of each month at 12:00 P.M. from April to October. If there is inclement weather in the area at testing time the test will be cancelled.

 CERT Basic Training Class

  No  CERT Training scheduled at

 Skywarn Training

SKYWARN® is a volunteer program with nearly 290,000 trained severe weather spotters. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the National Weather Service.
