Purchasing Division - About Us

For the past six (6) years, the Livingston County Purchasing Division has received the "Agency Certification" award from the Universal Public Purchasing Certification Council (UPPCC).  This is awarded annually to organizations that demonstrate professional excellence by the achievement of a fully certified procurement staff.   Livingston County is one of only 158 entities in the US to receive this national award.
Livingston County is one of thirteen entities in the US to receive two national Sterling Agency Awards.  The Sterling Agency Award recognizes exceptional agencies that in addition to achieving a fully certified procurement staff, have maintained fully certified staffs for three consecutive years running.  This is a truly outstanding accomplishment as it "demonstrates an agencies continuous commitment to professionalism and excellence. - Don Buffum, CPPO, UPPCC Governing Board member.
