IMPORTANT UPDATE EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 18, 2020:

The Friend of the Court office is open during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, effective November 18, 2020, our office will be closed to in-person services. Matters will be by appointment only. Residents are encouraged to visit the MiChildSupport website, call the office at 877-543-2660, or email the office at lcfoc@livgov.com if you have any questions. This follows the mandated phased approach ordered by the Michigan Supreme Court and Local Administrative Order.

Please record your docket number on a check. You can also enclose a payment coupon with your check. The payment coupon can be found at www.misdu.com.



The Livingston County Friend of the Court (FOC) is dedicated to preserving the best interests of children in a respectful manner within the Statutes and Court Rules as defined by the Michigan Legislature and the Michigan Supreme Court. The duties of the FOC office include: conducting investigations and making recommendations to the court regarding child custody, parenting time, child support, and domicile matters. In cooperation with the Michigan State Disbursement Unit (MiSDU), the FOC collects, records, and distributes support payments as ordered by the court.
