Livingston County GIS (LCGIS) Goals:
- Assist program areas in planning, implementing, and managing GIS applications
- Define standards for GIS data development, management and distribution
- Encourage data sharing with County Departments and local units
- Provide analytical and decision making tools that best meet County needs
- Standardize County-wide addressing and street naming
LCGIS is a division of the Information Technology Department. Our primary responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the County basemap layers (Roads, Parcels, Hydrology, & Orthophotography)
- Establishing data development standards for all County Departments
- Publishing paper map and digital data products for County Departments, Local Communities, and the Public
- Assuring address issuance complies with the established standards
LCGIS is currently working with the following agencies within the county:
- Public safety (Central Dispatch, Emergency Medical Services, Sheriff, Local Law Enforcement, Fire Departments)
- Drain Commissioner

- Public Health / Environmental Health
- County Clerk
