Cost of Vaccines
The current cost of vaccine plus an administration fee of $23 per vaccine will be charged. Administration fees may be adjusted based on ability to pay. Use the chart at the bottom of this page to determine cost.
LCHD participates in the Vaccine for Children (VFC) program that covers the cost of the vaccine for children who are eligible for the program. Children age birth through 18 years are eligible for the VFC program if they:
- Have Medicaid insurance (Medicaid will be billed).
- Do not have health insurance.
- Are American Indian or Alaska Native descent.
- Have health insurance that does not cover the cost of the vaccination.
LCHD also has special programs that may pay for certain vaccines for adults 19 years and older who are uninsured or underinsured.

LCHD is not able to bill
other commercial insurance companies at this time. Adults and children with private
insurance coverage can receive vaccines, but will be charged the cost of the
vaccine in addition to the vaccine administration fee. If your insurance pays for vaccinations, please call your insurance company
prior to arriving to the clinic to find out if you can be reimbursed when you
receive your vaccines at LCHD. LCHD may not be a participating provider
for some insurance companies, so it is important that you tell them you are
receiving the vaccines at the health department. It is your
responsibility to check with your insurance company to determine if the
insurance company will reimburse you when you receive vaccinations at the Livingston County Health Department. LCHD will give you the correct forms
to submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.
