Livingston County Medical Reserve Corps

The mission of the Livingston County Public Health MRC is to engage and retain volunteers, both medical and non-medical, to strengthen public health, emergency response and community resilience.  The goal of our MRC is to coordinate with local and regional partners to develop volunteer resources to support public health needs in the community and be prepared to effectively respond to public health events.

MRC volunteers receive quarterly mailings and training on various public health preparedness and wellness topics.  Volunteers participate in table-top and full-scale emergency response exercises.  It is important that we have trained and dedicated volunteers as part of our team.  We believe that the more people that are prepared, the safer our community will be.

We are in the process of strengthening our volunteer database and training program.  We are actively recruiting medical and non-medical volunteers to be part of our MRC team.  If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or have any questions regarding our MRC Program, please feel free to contact our Medical Reserve Corps Coordinator, Jennifer Kramer, at your convenience either by phone at (517) 552-6819 or email at jkramer@livgov.com
