Team Training

We typically offer training to our volunteers 2-3 times per year.  In addition to training, our volunteers have the opportunity to participate in local and regional table-top and full-scale emergency response exercises.  Some of our past training sessions include:

  • Incident Command SystemPublic Health Volunteers in training
  • Food Borne Illness and Outbreaks
  • Family  Preparedness
  • CPR and First Aid
  • Psychological First Aid
  • Mass Clinic Operations
  • Anthrax Response
  • Pandemic Flu
  • H1N1

The purpose of our training program is to educate and train our volunteers on various public health emergency topics so that we are better prepared to respond to a wide variety of emergency situations, including the recent Influenza A H1N1 outbreak, food-borne illness outbreaks, natural disasters, and other unpredictable biological, radiological, explosive or chemical emergencies.  Our emergency response training and exercises help us to better protect our community in a public health emergency.
