Healthy Habits for Youth Workgroup
The Healthy Habits for Youth Workgroup came out of the discussions and statistics related to youth obesity in the county.  The group recognizes that there are a large number of healthy youth activity options in the county, but cost and coordination was an issue.  This group strives to identify the available options for both activities and healthy nutrition and reduce the barriers to accessing them.

Mission
To reduce the prevalence of youth obesity in Livingston County.

Workgroup Objectives
1.  To increase the physical activity levels of youth in Livingston County by 10% by 2016.

2.  To increase the fruit and vegetable consumption of youth in Livingston County by 10% by 2016.

Partnerships

Success of the Healthy Habits for Youth Workgroup is dependent upon the ongoing commitment of Livingston County organizations, officials, schools, local governments, businesses and residents.  They agree to collaborate and work to develop systems that are coordinated, accessible and affordable.  This dedication is what makes this workgroup successful in addressing county-wide issues.
