Wildlife Habitat

sandhill_crane.jpg

Adjacent to the 2,100-acre Oak Grove State Game Area, Lutz County Park offers the perfect stopover location for migrating birds, especially Sandhill Cranes, which are often seen in the Spring and Fall.

Beautiful Red-Tail Hawks can often be seen flying overhead.

The pond on the property is a perfect habitat for frogs, turtles and even salamanders.

In the Spring, the restored meadow is a wonderful area to see a splash of wildflowers.

DON'T FORGET TO BRING YOUR BINOCULARS AND FIELD GUIDES WHEN YOU VISIT!
