The Livingston County Sheriff Mounted Division has been in existence for many years and is a valuable asset to the Sheriff's Office. The Mounted Division is comprised of citizen volunteers and their horses that are tasked with several law enforcement activities and community events. These events include area search and rescue, item search, disaster assistance, crowd control, and scene security. The Mounted Division also participates in many public relations functions such as the Sheriff's Office Child ID Program, holiday parades, and the Fowlerville Fair.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the Sheriff's Office Mounted Division, you must be at least 21 years old, a citizen of Michigan, successfully pass a background check, own or have access to a horse and have a willingness to serve your community.
