The Livingston County Sheriff's Office is currently closed due to Executive Order 2020-21.
Jail Visitation can be conducted remotely; our Jail Lobby is open to deposit funds into inmate accounts by utilizing the Kiosk in the lobby. We encourage people with pistol sales records and hand gun registrations to please mail them to:

The existing Livingston County Jail was first built in 1972 with a capacity of 62 inmates. A jail expansion in 1996 increased our capacity to 205 inmates. Another renovation in 2003 expanded capacity to 254. With our recent 2015/2016 expansion and renovation we currently have a capacity of 411 inmates.
Lieutenant Tarneseia Pringle is the Jail Administrator. Lieutenant Dan Adas oversees Jail Operations. We work together with the our staff to keep the jail safe, secure and to provide a humane environment for the inmates in our charge.
